- Today was the last day of Technicraft for this term and it was an exciting one, we made Dutch Apple Cakes and this is how you make them…Ingredients:
- 100g butter
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced.
Tools:- A set of measuring cups
- A set of measuring spoons
- A small bowl
- A saucepan
- A chopping board
- An egg beater
- A vegetable knife
- A normal bread knife
Method:- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a small tin.
- Mix Cinnamon and sugar together. In another bowl, beat the eggs with a egg-beater.
- Sift in the flour and baking powder. Spread the mixture into the cake tin.
- Core the apple and slice thinly.
- Spread the apple slices over the cake mix and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar on top.
- Place in the oven and bake for around 20 minutes or until golden brown.

They certainly smelt delicious when it came out of the oven. Perhaps you could make them for mum and dad as a Easter treat.
