The basketball tournament was so much fun!

In the weekend I went to my basketball camp at the North Shore with my brother, mum and dad. We had a tournament in our training. After we had training, it was the New Zealand Breakers turn to train.

Norman split us into five teams so we could have a small tournament with each other. The teams started with 10 points, but every time our team had a turn-over sub we lose a point. 

In the first game, I jumped for the ball. The final scores were six and five, we had six and the other team had five points. We were losing points more than gaining points in that game.

In the next game, I was the sub for the first half. When I got on the court, I helped my team mate to dribble the ball to the hoop and if someone was defending him then he would pass it to me. 

In the end, the final scores were 11 points and 17 points. My team had 11 points and the opposing team had 17 points.

In the last game, I jumped the ball for my team. The players on the other team were good so we lost that game. Our team had 14 points at the end and the other team had 20 points.

I had so much fun in the tournament because the teams were really fun to play with. My favourite part was when the other teams were a challenge for me.

Wow, Duffy assembly was great!

Today we had a special visitor and her name was Tasha. Tasha was a determined and peaceful person. Tasha sang a song called Mama knows best. Tasha has long, blonde hair and she was a confident person. Tasha talked about herself and what she was like in her childhood. After that,we asked her some questions. Then we ended it with a song called 'Price Tag' that was written by Jessie J.

Wow! The weekends are so much fun!

In the weekends I stayed at home with my mum, my dad, two brothers and my sister. I played the Sims 3 and watched YouTube videos on my mum's phone. I also played Minecraft on my PS3.

On my mom's phone, I watched SSundee's ans PopularMMO's videos. PopularMMO's was doing a Lucky Block mod challenge in Minecraft and SSundee was doing an Aether dimension survival map in Minecraft. When I was playing the Sims 3, I was getting lots money by making my sim go to work. The work that I have chosen for him was to extinguish fire as a fire fighter.

I then played Minecraft on my PS3. In Minecraft I was crafting deadly diamond tools and armour. After I crafted them I enchanted them with powers to finally prepare for the fight against the Ender Dragon and the Wither boss. I fought the Ender Dragon at the End dimension. I had to destroy the Ender Crystals to be able to fight him. Next I fought the Wither, to summon the Wither I needed five blocks of soul sand and 3 wither skeleton skulls.

It was a really fun weekend because there were so many different activities to be engaged in so I did not get very bored. I wish I was able to do some exciting outdoor activities.

Yay! We got our first win in the basketball tournament!

We had a basketball game on Wednesday. Dhon, Siu, Rhonda, Rosary, Launoa and I are in the year 5 and 6 team. The court was confusing because there were so many different-coloured lines, it was like a maze. We played a game against Glen Taylor. 

I was late to arrive, so I missed the game. When I arrived, I saw the year 7 and 8 game playing on their court and it was half time for them. When our game started, I was the substitute for the first half. By the end of the game we had 22 points and Glen Taylor had 8 points. It was very tough because they had good defence and great offence and there were also so many people on their team.

Our games were 30 minutes long, from 4:00-4:30. The year 7 and 8's had 22 points and they versed Panmure Bridge, who scored 14 points. The people in the year 7 and 8's team were Isaac, Avishek, Kolio, Natalia and Vine.

It was a fun game and I am happy that we have won. I hope we can win next time as well by continuing to practise our skills, such as shooting, passing and dribbling.

Wow! Pt. England are good basketball players!

Last Wednesday our basketball team had a game with Pt, England at Tamaki Recreation Centre. The people in my basketball team were Siu, RJ, Rhonda, Launoa, Rosary, Dhon, Kayla and of course me. The court was like a maze because there were so many lines. Some people got confused because they didn't know where the outside line was.

When I got to Tamaki Recreation Centre, I met Siu and Dhon. After that I went to the changing room to get changed into my P.E gear. After I got changed, I went onto the court to join in with Siu and Dhon for a short warm up before our game. We played offence and defence with Dhon, Siu, Vine and Natalia. To play offence and defence, you have to get in a line and every two pair had an offence and a defence, The offender had to try to shoot a point while the defender had to try and steal the ball.

When our first game started, I was in the centre and I jumped up for the ball but Pt. England caught it first. At the end of our first game, i shot 6 points. It was a tough competition because Pt. England has a very strong team. There were so many people at Tamaki Recreation Centre. The game was 30 minutes long, it was from 3:30-4:00.

It was a good game and a good experience for me. I'm really looking forward to the next few games, because we are going to be training hard.

It was the best holiday ever!

In the holidays I went to Sylvia Park with my mum, my dad, my brother and sister for an amazing family day out.I also stayed at home and watched gaming videos towards the end of the holidays.

At Sylvia Park I ate breakfast at Mac Donald's while my dad and mum went to a coffee shop because they wanted coffee from their favourite coffee shop.

I then went to The Warehouse to buy a new blanket. Then I came across a new Nerf gun and I wanted to buy it and it was just $16. I then asked my parents to buy it for me and they did.

When I got home I wanted to watch videos from my two favourite youtubers , who are SSundee and PopularMMO's. I watched SSundee play a custom map in Minecraft called Crundee Craft and I saw PopularMMO's play the Minecraft Hunger Games.

The holidays were so much fun because the activities I did were exhilarating. There were also so many different kinds of activities I did that I would wish to do again during the next school holidays.
